Candlewood Lake is the largest lake in Connecticut and one of the largest man-made lakes in the United States. The lake has a surface area of 8.4 square miles. with 86 miles of shoreline, mostly private. Most of the lake is approximately 40 feet deep to a maximum of 80 feet deep. the visibility in the lake is typically 5-20 feet. It is one of the best lakes for Bass and Trout fishing. We provide guide service 7 days a week in season. If you are new to fishing, having trouble catching that large Bass or Trout or just sick of not catching fish from shore, check us out.
